Graduating from CSCC

To graduate from Columbus State Community College a student needs to do the following:

  • Make an appointment with an advisor to review the degree requirements and complete the Petition to Graduate form.
  • Submit all copies of the petition to the Records and Registration Department, Madison Hall, Room 201.

The deadlines to return the form are:

    • To graduate Winter Quarter 2011: by Friday, January 14, 2011 before 4:30 p.m.
      The ceremony is in March

    • To graduate Spring Quarter 2011: by Friday, April 08, 2011 before 4:30 p.m.
      The ceremony is in June.

    • To graduate Summer Quarter 2011: by Friday, July 08, 2011 before 4:30 p.m.
      The ceremony is in September.

  • To graduate Autumn Quarter 2011: by Friday, September 30, 2011 before 4:30 p.m.
    The ceremony is in December.

The petitions are processed during the graduation quarter.  Students who have petitioned to graduate will be notified of the status of the graduation petition by mail. Approximately five (5) weeks into the graduation quarter, the students who are meeting the graduation requirements will receive a graduation packet with information on:

  • Frequently Asked Questions
  • The date, time and place of the ceremony
  • Ordering invitations
  • Cap and gown information
