Blackboard Mobile
Now you can get Blackboard on your mobile phone!
Blackboard Mobile Learn is an app that works on all major brands of smartphone. It's a free download from both the iPhone App Store and the Android App Market. Just search for Blackboard Mobile Learn (It's not a Columbus State-specific app.)
Once you've downloaded the app, search for Columbus State Community College to access our Blackboard site. Sign in with your regular Columbus State password and view your course information.
(Note: Blackboard Mobile only works with wifi or on the Sprint network at this time.)
Emergency Text Message Alerts
Columbus State offers emergency text message alerts through the Rave system. The system will alert you to school closings and crime alerts, as well as natural disasters and emergencies. Rave is never used for marketing messages.

Email and Calendars on your Mobile Phone (Student Email Directions)
Putting your email and calendar on a mobile phone is possible for many phones, including iPhone, Android and Blackberry. It also works on tablets such as the iPad or Galaxy.
Find your phone's settings, then enter the following parameters:
Mail setting: IMAP
[Incoming Server]
student.cscc.edu
SSL on using port 993
** If android SSL (Accept all Certificates)
Username and Password (same as network credentials)
[Outgoing Server]
spamfilter.cscc.edu
TLS on using port 587
** If android TLS (Accept all Certificates)
On an iPhone, go into
- Settings
- Mail, Contacts, Calendars
- Add New Account > Other > Mail setting: IMAP
