Direct From High School

Graduating soon?

Columbus State is the perfect place to train for a career or start your college studies. At Columbus State you'll get a quality education -- and you won't be paying off your student loans while you're trying to retire.

Applying

Coming direct from high school, you can use our standard online application, as described in the Get Started Guide. Then check out our Financial Aid office for information on paying for college.

Dates

Follow all the dates on the Guide, but remember: Columbus State's deadlines are usually a little later than most colleges'. Don't assume you've missed out, and remember that you can still apply next quarter.

You can get in

We have an open admissions policy, so we don't require high school transcripts or ACT and SAT scores as a criteria for admission. We will need your final official high school transcripts for many programs and courses, though; so remember to send them in. If you're submitting AP scores, we'll need them directly from the College Board. We can't take them off your high school transcript.

Succeed

And to get the most out of your college experience, check in with Advising Services, don't be afraid to seek out Tutoring, and get involved with Student Activities and Athletics.
