Preferred Pathway to Ohio State

The Preferred Pathway Program is a clear and direct track to a degree from Ohio State University.

Students have long been able to start at Columbus State, then transfer to Ohio State to finish their bachelor's degree, but the Preferred Pathway makes it even easier.

If you're planning to transfer to The Ohio State University after completing an associate degree, the Preferred Pathway Program is the best way to get there.

Eligibility and Application

There is no application necessary to be a Preferred Pathway Program student.  All students interested in transferring to OSU are eligible to follow a pre-major track as a Preferred Pathway Program student.  The pre-major tracks are the preferred pathway to an OSU degree.

Students interested in the Preferred Pathway Program must first apply and be accepted to Columbus State Community College. You can apply online at www.cscc.edu. Once you receive notification that you are accepted to the college, follow the Get Started Guide, and meet with an academic advisor to discuss your pre-major.  

Preferred Pathway Scholars

While all CSCC students are eligible to follow a Preferred Pathway Program pre-major to OSU, a select group of students may meet requirements to participate in the program as Preferred Pathway Scholars.
