Associate Degree

We offer an Associate Degree programs with three tracks: Mental Health, Addiction Studies, or Developmental Disabilities.

Associate Degree programs generally take two years to complete, and qualify graduates for employment immediately upon graduation. This degree prepares you to become a state-registered Social Work Assistant, helping clients and working closely with psychologists, educators and social workers.

The Associate Degree in the Addiction Studies track meets the degree requirement and the chemical dependency educational content required for the Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor II (LCDC II)

You can also apply your associate degree toward a bachelor's degree at the following four-year colleges/universities: Otterbein College, Capital University, Franklin University,  University of Cincinnati, and Ohio Christian University. Additional articulation discussions are in process with other colleges as well.

Each program includes 560 hours of hands-on internships, working with clients at one of our 100+ partner agencies. You will learn skills such as role-playing, small group discussion and videotaping. Our graduates work in places such as mental health centers, group homes, homeless shelters and youth treatment programs.

Transfer Agreements

We have transfer agreements with many different colleges that allow you to apply your associate degree toward the first two years of a bachelor's degree.
