Activities Committee

The purpose of this committee is to:

  • Organize and monitor the Holidays are for Kids Program.
  • Evaluate other possible events.

Ad Hoc Committee

An ad hoc committee is set up for a specific purpose or situation, currently:

  • Communications & Publicity

By-Laws Committee

The purpose of this committee is to:

  • Keep the bylaws up to date.
  • Explore ways to deal with new situations that should be added to the bylaws, as they occur, and report back to council for a vote.

Election And Membership Committee

The purpose of this committee is to:

  • Follow procedures and time guidelines outlined in Article V of the Council Bylaws.
  • Keep a current list of council membership.
  • Monitor vacancies in council membership, try to get vacancies filled, and to inform Staff Advisory Council Chairperson of vacancies unable to be filled.
  • Greet new staff members to campus and answer any questions they may have about Staff Advisory Council.
  • Conducting the elections of the Officers will be the last duty of this committee.

Staff Professional Development Committee

The purpose of this committee is to:

  • Explore further professional development possibilities for staff (through the Human Capacity and the In-Service Committees), and the Staff Advisory Council.
  • Plan the Staff Advisory Council Retreat.
