Your path to the education you need.
Our mission at Columbus State is to provide Central Ohio residents the educational opportunities they need to get to the next phase of their career - whatever that may be. First, you can go here and get a two-year associate degree in a Career & Technical field, which qualifies you for a job immediately. Or, you can get an Associate of Arts or Associate of Science, which represents the first two years of a bachelor's degree and you can transfer to another college. Third, we offer a variety of short-term training opportunities and continuing education through our Community Education and Workforce Development division. Check out our Majors and Programs for more on our offerings.
Columbus State at a Glance
Columbus State Community College has been dedicated to meeting the educational needs of our community for more than 40 years. The College has grown from an initial enrollment of 67 students in 1963, to its current thriving campus of more than 30,000 students.
Columbus State's Career & Technical Programs division offers two-year career programs in more than 55 areas of business, health, public service, human service, and engineering technologies. Students can also take the first two years of their bachelor's degree here through our College of Arts and Science, then transfer to a four-year college.
Our Community Education and Workforce Development division offers continuing education classes, licensure courses and personal enrichment courses. Online courses fall under Distance Learning, and programs for high school students fall under K-12 Programs.
Our Columbus Campus is conveniently located on the edge of downtown Columbus, on 80 acres of beautifully landscaped grounds. The campus currently consists of more than two dozen buildings. Our Delaware Campus, which opened in Autumn 2010, includes the state-of-the-art Moeller Hall and offers a variety of great programs.
In addition to the main campus, Columbus State operates 9 Off-Campus Centers in the suburban neighborhoods of Dublin, Gahanna, Westerville, Groveport, Marysville, Grove City, Plain City, Southeast Columbus and in Southwest Columbus at Bolton Field. These suburban sites allow students to take courses close to where they live and work.
Columbus State is especially proud of its own community. Each member of our faculty and staff is committed to enhancing the educational and employment opportunities of our students. For information about our campus, try taking a tour.
And if you've benefited from a Columbus State education, or just want to help others get an opportunity, please consider donating to the Columbus State Development Foundation or attending our annual Taste the Future gala. All funds raised at Taste the Future benefit scholarships.
